Hour after hour for the next five-hundred years
I'll defend this empty castle, letting no impure soul near.
I'll protect the crown and princess, I'll protect the outer walls.
I will stand behind your majesty until your kingdom falls.
I will test the food for poison, I will fall upon my blade.
I will fight for what I love until the life from my eyes fades.
I'll die for all these missing folk and all their lost lands, too.
I will die a million times to tell the princess "I love you."

Tattered Hearts Still Beat
Love is both the most wonderful feeling and the most challenging fight, Calling upon us to give our all from the dawn of day to the last shadow of night. There will be losses and staggering blows, the pain of defeat lingering long, Though knowledge of the future's unwritten status keeps wounded hearts strong. Our victory comes when one day is complete and we can cherish what we've done; If we are able to look at ourselves and say "you did great today," then we've won. You may be caught on the battlefield's heart, feeling defeat's ache last forever And starting to fear your mind will never again know a world beyond stormy weather. Please take my hand and let us face the cannon fire together; that is how we show This relentless life that even when our bodies are broken, our spirits will never go!

The rest of the lines are great and have a kind of fairy tale feel to them, but these two seem almost too modern. To be honest I don't know what to suggest. Something a bit more medieval-ish?
