"Immer mit die Ruhe!" is a German phrase commonly heard in fights, meaning "In with the peace." or "Calm down."
Why have I chosen that as the title? Because that's exactly what we need to do.

It is the belief of many people that we cannot think properly unless completely calm. Adrenaline, while able to save lives, can cloud your thoughts and ruin lives as well.

The internet is full of people. It's basically its own separate world from Earth. Few of us conduct ourselves similarly in both worlds, nor do we seem to think the same. In the Internet world, there are regulations. It is much easier to manage the people you control, but the consequences are not always as extreme. On the internet, age seems to matter not, along with race and sometimes religion. It's easy to hide behind a keyboard and spill your heart, but it's even easier to use the keyboard as a shield to attack people.
Those of us who choose to conduct ourselves "properly" on the internet often fall victim to these childish monsters. And when that happens, what do we do? We get agitated. We become one of them. We stop thinking properly.

It's time we all just take a few breaths. Disconnect your internet and play a bit of Solitaire. Leave this world for a bit, go have some fun, let those monsters starve and cannibalize. Have them feed on their own kind until they realize they can't win and eventually stop.



We need to use this power- the power to control ourselves- properly. Let's make the internet a better place. Who knows? It might transfer into the other world, too.
